[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] Ando-geol, Vice Minister of Strategy and Finance, stated on the 1st, "We will create quality private and public jobs to restore employment levels to those before the crisis."
Vice Minister Ando made these remarks during a budget consultation meeting on jobs and employment held at the Seoul Employment and Labor Office in the afternoon. The meeting included relevant ministries, private employment support service organizations, Polytech universities, project executing institutions, academia, and vocational training experts.
The directions for next year's job budget were identified as ▲restructuring the vocational training system ▲expanding the national employment safety net ▲providing customized employment and labor services.

Vice Minister Ando said, "In response to the COVID-19 employment crisis, we concentrated fiscal investment on maintaining employment and creating jobs through five supplementary budgets, achieving results that minimized the employment shock compared to other OECD countries last year," adding, "Since March this year, the number of employed persons has turned to an increasing trend, showing a rapid recovery from the employment shock."
