Incheon City issued this administrative order following a recent outbreak of multiple COVID-19 cases at karaoke rooms.
Accordingly, karaoke room operators and workers must receive COVID-19 diagnostic tests at designated public health center screening clinics or temporary screening clinics. The testing is free of charge.
The city plans to take strong measures, including claiming compensation for quarantine costs, if confirmed cases occur at businesses that fail to comply with the administrative order.

An Incheon City official stated, "This emergency measure was taken to proactively block group infections at karaoke rooms, which are frequented by many people, ahead of the July social distancing reform plan," and urged, "Please actively cooperate with the diagnostic testing."
