According to the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency on the 1st, from the 3rd for two weeks, they will inspect public restrooms, lodging facilities, and large marts around major beaches, valleys, and water play facilities in the province for the installation of illegal cameras.
A joint inspection team consisting of police, local governments, and civic and social organizations will conduct the inspections, and detection devices will be lent to vacation spot managers to encourage participation in creating safe vacation areas.
Residents who wish to participate in the inspections or borrow detection devices can apply through the women's and youth divisions of their local police stations or via the provincial police website.
Lee Moon-soo, chief of the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency, said, "We will focus our efforts on eradicating illegal filming to make Gyeongnam a safe place for women," and added, "We ask for the active interest and participation of the residents."
