Gwangju Bank Releases Limited Edition of 2,000 'Sinan1004 Account' Books
Donation of Part of the Profits to Certain Areas
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Bank (President Song Jongwook) announced on the 1st that it will release the ‘Shinan1004 Account,’ a local love savings account, as a limited edition of 2,000 copies.
The ‘Shinan1004 Account,’ launched as the third after the ‘Suncheon Love Account’ and the ‘Hwasun Love Account’ to practice local love, plans to donate a portion of the profits to the respective region based on sales performance.
By designing photos of major tourist attractions in Shinan-gun on the cover and inside pages of the ‘Shinan1004 Account,’ it is expected to promote the region to more people and encourage interest in local love.
Also, since it can be issued at all branches to anyone, it is expected to provide an opportunity for expatriates to reminisce about their hometown and for customers from other regions to be introduced to the unique characteristics of the area.
Park Woo-ryang, Shinan County Governor, who became the first subscriber to celebrate the launch of the Shinan1004 Account, also expressed affection for this account that practices local love.
Song Jongwook, President of Gwangju Bank, said, “As a representative bank of Jeonnam and Gwangju, we planned the ‘Local Love Account’ to practice local love and social contribution, and we ask for the interest and support of our customers. We will continue to empathize with local issues for mutual development with the region and strive to provide customers with various financial services through story-driven products that can impress local residents.”
