BBQ "Efforts for Family Co-prosperity with 'BBQ Pay'"
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Genesis BBQ (BBQ) announced on the 1st that it plans to activate its own simple payment system, ‘BBQ Pay,’ within its application (app).
BBQ Pay is an account-based simple payment service where users link their bank account as a payment method upon first use to complete BBQ Pay registration. After that, users can place orders quickly and conveniently by entering only a simple password.
In 2019, BBQ signed a business agreement with KB Kookmin Bank to establish the BBQ Pay simple payment system, becoming the first franchise in the industry to introduce its own simple payment service, proactively advancing digital transformation. According to BBQ, when paying with BBQ Pay, consumers can complete orders more easily and conveniently by just entering a password, and family stores (franchisees) can reduce their burden with significantly lower fees compared to regular card payment fees.
