"Shall I Become an Announcer or Reporter?" 'Sseubokman' Appears on Media Sharing Bus
[Asia Economy Reporter Seol Gina Jo] The Korea Communications Commission announced on the 30th that it will promote media education through the "Visiting Media Sharing Bus" in collaboration with voice actor turned YouTube creator "Sseubokman."
The Sharing Bus is a mobile experiential studio vehicle equipped with production facilities and equipment. Since 2017, the Commission has been operating the Sharing Bus nationwide for students and local residents, allowing anyone to experience various media fields such as becoming an announcer or reporter to produce TV news, or taking on the role of a DJ or reporter to run radio programs.
The video "Sseubokman’s Sharing Bus Experience," where Sseubokman transforms into popular drama characters and tries being an announcer, reporter, and weathercaster, will be released from today on the Commission’s and Sseubokman’s YouTube channels. Sseubokman, who is popular for impersonations and dubbing content, created content experiencing various facilities by boarding the Sharing Bus near the Incheon Viewer Media Center located in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon on the 15th.
Sseubokman said, “Media equipment is very expensive and difficult for individuals to obtain easily, so I liked that this is provided for free. I think it is a very good service and space for local residents,” and added, “Viewer Media Centers are continuously being established in each region, and services like the Sharing Bus are available, so I hope many people will use them.”
Chairman Han Sang-hyuk stated, “As the media environment rapidly changes, the importance of media education to strengthen the public’s media literacy capabilities is being emphasized,” and added, “We will enhance facilities and programs so that all citizens can receive quality media experiences and education through the Sharing Bus and the 10 Viewer Media Centers nationwide, and will further expand cooperative models with related organizations to activate school media education.”
