Kakao Mobility and Korea Transportation Safety Authority Join Forces to Revitalize Taxi Hiring Market
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Kakao Mobility announced on the 30th that it has signed a business agreement with the Korea Transportation Safety Authority to "manage taxi driver qualifications and revitalize the taxi hiring market."
Through this agreement, Kakao Mobility will develop a solution that links the Korea Transportation Safety Authority's transportation worker system, qualification exams, and qualification information infrastructure to its platform, enabling everything from taxi driver qualification exam registration to qualification management and driver hiring through the platform.
First, it will provide a 'Qualification Management Control Solution' that allows voluntary qualification management by drivers and transportation operators. Through the Kakao T Driver app, real-time notifications will be sent to those who need qualification maintenance inspections and special inspections, allowing taxi drivers to check their re-examination status and apply for the inspection directly via the app. Transportation companies will also be able to pre-check whether their drivers are subject to re-examination and manage those who have missed inspections.
It will also provide a 'Driver Employment Support' solution. Through the platform, all procedures required to obtain taxi driver qualification certification?including ▲Driving Aptitude Detailed Test ▲Taxi Driver Qualification Exam ▲Disqualification Check ▲Mandatory Training for New Hires after Employment at Taxi Companies?will be organized to proceed in a 'one-stop' manner.
Furthermore, the platform plans to provide hiring information and assist in matching taxi driver candidates with transportation companies that meet their working conditions, facilitating easier employment and recruitment.
