Son-in-law of Park Ji-won, Director of the National Intelligence Service, on trial for 'drug smuggling and use' charges
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] It has been confirmed that the eldest son-in-law of Park Ji-won, the Director of the National Intelligence Service, is on trial for smuggling and using narcotics in the United States.
According to the legal community on the 29th, the Seoul Central District Court Criminal Division 24 (Chief Judge Jo Yong-rae) is conducting a trial for four people, including Samsung Electronics Executive Director A, who were indicted for violating the Narcotics Control Act.
Executive Director A is accused of smuggling ecstasy and marijuana into Korea when entering the country from the United States in May 2019, and using or smoking them twice in July and August of the same year.
