Shinhan Bank Joins Clayton Blockchain Governance Council
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Shinhan Bank announced on the 29th that it will participate as the first domestic bank in the governance council of Klaytn, a public blockchain platform developed by Ground X, Kakao's blockchain technology company.
The Klaytn Governance Council decides on the direction and agenda regarding the platform's technology and business, and plays a role in forming the blockchain ecosystem. Currently, more than 30 global companies, including LG Electronics, Celltrion, and Netmarble, are participating.
Through participation in the Klaytn Governance Council, Shinhan Bank plans to provide various blockchain services based on Klaytn to customers quickly and in diverse ways, while offering safer and more reliable financial services through blockchain technology that is tamper-proof.
