Gyeongnam Province Invests 3 Billion KRW to Strengthen Competitiveness of Beekeeping Industry
Expectations for Stabilizing Farm Management Amid Abnormal Temperature Challenges
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 28th that it will provide a total of 2,995 million KRW, an increase of 800 million KRW from last year, to stabilize the management and increase the income of beekeeping farms.
The detailed projects include the beekeeping industry structural improvement project, native bee breeding project, urban beekeeping support project, hornet extermination equipment support project, eco-friendly bee feeding support project, and beekeeping supplementary feed purchase.
By project, 1.6 billion KRW will be allocated to the beekeeping industry structural improvement project, which supports six types of equipment including beehives and cold storage to increase farm income.
58 million KRW will be invested in the native bee breeding project, which has excellent resistance to sacbrood virus disease, and 28 million KRW in the urban beekeeping support project.
