The Direction of International Youth Exchange After COVID-19... Discussion Forum to Be Held on the 30th
Ministry of Gender Equality and Family - Korea Youth Activity Promotion Agency Hold Online Forum
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family is seeking sustainable measures for youth international exchange activities in the post-COVID era.
The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and the Korea Youth Activity Promotion Agency announced on the 29th that they will hold the "Sustainable Youth International Exchange Activities Development Forum" online from 2 p.m. on the 30th.
This forum is a platform where the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) and domestic and international experts introduce the current status of global youth international exchange activities and cases of non-face-to-face international exchange activities, and discuss them together.
Aziel Gourandris, Director of Education at WFUNA, will present on the cooperation projects between WFUNA and Korea and youth international exchange activities amid the COVID-19 situation. Teppei Aoyama, Deputy Director of the Youth Education Research Center at the National Institution for Youth Education in Japan, will present on Japan's youth international exchange activities and development plans.
Senior Research Fellow Yang Gye-min of the Korea Youth Policy Institute will analyze the achievements and limitations of Korea's youth international exchange activities and present development plans for youth international exchange projects after COVID-19. The discussion will focus on two important themes: youth autonomy and sustainable international exchange activities, and concrete measures related to these will be discussed.
The discussion will be chaired by Professor Kim Min of Soonchunhyang University, with Professors Kang Young-bae of Daegu Haany University and Song Min-kyung of Kyonggi University discussing measures for youth international exchange activities in the post-COVID era. The forum will be broadcast live on the Korea Youth Activity Promotion Agency's YouTube channel, and anyone interested in youth international exchange activities, including youth, field leaders, and international exchange activity stakeholders, can participate.
