On the 28th, the Public Procurement Service announced that it will conduct an audit on the management of goods worth 20 trillion won at 57 central government offices and other institutions.
This year, considering the COVID-19 situation, the audit will be conducted mainly online, with on-site audits conducted concurrently at 10 institutions.
The online audit method utilizes data from the goods management system to inspect the acquisition and utilization of goods, budget waste, and aims to enhance the systematic management and consistency of national goods.
In particular, this audit focuses on inducing national budget savings by discovering and sharing exemplary cases in goods management.
