View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Soyoung] Kim Uigyeom, a member of the Open Democratic Party, stated, "According to the people at the Board of Audit and Inspection, Chairman Choi Jae-hyung was fundamentally very different from the Moon Jae-in administration."
On the 27th, Kim posted on his Facebook under the title "Choi Jae-hyung, Yoon Seok-youl, and the Ancien R?gime," explaining, "Chairman Choi would often start political conversations by saying, 'I've been hearing things like this lately,' which was typical logic of the Taegeukgi Unit," and added, "During the Japan trade dispute, he said things like 'If we keep going like this with Japan, the country will collapse.'" The term 'Ancien R?gime' mentioned in the title is French for 'old regime.'
Regarding the view that the Moon Jae-in administration nurtured Chairman Choi and former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-youl as presidential candidates, he responded, "It's a painful story, but there's no need to get overly serious about it."
He continued, "You may understand the depths of water, but how can you understand the depths of a person's mind?" and said, "Chairman Choi was awkward from the beginning. Even when attending Blue House meetings such as the Anti-Corruption Policy Council, he remained silent. I never saw him socialize with those around him during breaks. He always showed clear signs of discomfort."
He also added, "Thinking about it, Chairman Choi is more than qualified to be the 'darling' of the old mainstream in our society," noting, "He attended Kyunggi High School, Seoul National University Law School, has a background as a judge, and is a devout Christian."
Furthermore, he claimed, "His relatives likely contributed greatly to building the strong walls of his thinking," and asserted, "The 'political audit' of Wolseong Unit 1 probably sprouted from this sentiment and background."
Kim then said, "All reforms face resistance. Revolutions inevitably give rise to counter-revolutions," adding, "The groups most strongly resisting the Moon Jae-in administration's policies are the prosecution and the nuclear power mafia."
He continued, "Former Prosecutor General Yoon and Chairman Choi represent these forces. Therefore, their challenges are not merely personal choices but inevitable outcomes arising from the confrontation and clash between reformist and resistant forces."
He explained, "Saying 'President Moon has no eye for people' leads to the error of reducing historical context to personal preference," and added, "If President Moon had not pursued reforms, there would have been no 'Yoon Seok-youl rebellion' or 'Choi Jae-hyung rebellion.'"

Kim emphasized, "That's why it's difficult. Reform seems like rolling a round square. But what can we do? We have no choice but to push forward, limping and staggering."
