About 60 Coupang Employees Volunteer for Environmental Cleanup in Village Near Deokpyeong-ri
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Coupang employees took part in environmental cleanup efforts in the area near Deokpyeong-ri, which experienced inconvenience due to a fire at a logistics center.
On the 26th, about 60 Coupang employees visited villages near Deokpyeong-ri, Majang-myeon, Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, collecting dust and cleaning public places such as roads and parking lots, as well as residential areas and farmland.
The volunteer group, composed of employees, conducted environmental cleanup activities centered around the village halls of Deokpyeong 1-ri and Pyogyo-ri starting from 10 a.m. that day. The volunteers came from various departments including Development, Legal Affairs, Human Resources, Marketing, and Sales, with participation ranging from regular employees to executives. Coupang grants substitute leave to employees who participate in weekend volunteer activities.

The resident damage support center operates on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Separately, a dedicated damage report call center (02-2058-8000) is available on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
