On the 26th, Hwang Bo-seung-hee, senior spokesperson for the People Power Party, stated in a commentary, "How large must the corruption that this administration is trying to hide be to attempt such blatant control over the prosecution?"
The Ministry of Justice announced promotions and transfers effective July 2 for a total of 662 personnel, including 652 mid-level prosecutors at the deputy chief and chief prosecutor levels and 10 ordinary prosecutors. Due to this reshuffle, over 90% of the mid-level prosecutors will be relocated.
Spokesperson Hwang pointed out, "With the worst-ever prosecutorial personnel reshuffle under the Moon administration and Minister of Justice Park Beom-gye, the path to investigating the administration's corruption is being systematically blocked," adding, "Minister Park replaced the entire investigation teams handling cases such as the manipulation of the economic feasibility evaluation of Wolseong Unit 1, embezzlement and breach of trust at Eastar Jet, and the illegal deportation case involving former Vice Minister Kim Hak-ui."
He continued, "Not only were prosecutors who did not even complete the mandatory one-year term in their essential posts demoted, but even those who voiced criticism of the Moon administration's prosecutorial reforms were not spared from demotion," and criticized, "This administration seems to have no intention to uphold fairness, justice, or the rule of law, but only to protect their fragile power by blocking investigations targeting themselves."
Minister Park evaluated the reshuffle as "a personnel move made with a sense of harmony, balance, and fairness." In response, Spokesperson Hwang said, "They continue to spout sophistry until the end, but in reality, pro-administration officials have occupied key positions," adding, "Those who should lead in upholding the law are instead applying the standard of 'innocent if pro-Moon, guilty if anti-Moon,' so there is no way the rule of law can function properly."

Spokesperson Hwang further emphasized, "They may be relieved, thinking they have completed the seizure of the prosecution through this personnel atrocity, but remember clearly," and stressed, "The corruption committed by this administration will surely be judged under the name of 'the Republic of Korea's rule of law,' which has been protected through sacrifice and dedication."
