Police Fail to Find Clear Clues... "Searching with All Possibilities Open"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] In Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, high school senior Kim Hweseong has been missing for five days, prompting the police to launch an investigation.
According to the Bundang Police Station in Gyeonggi on the 26th, Kim Hweseong, a third-year student at Seohyeon High School, has been out of contact since 4:40 PM on the 22nd, the day he left school, and remains missing as of the fifth day.
The police received a missing person report from Kim’s family early the next morning and began a search, but have yet to find any clear clues.
On the day of his disappearance, Kim was last seen buying a book at a bookstore near Seohyeon Station on his way home, then heading out to the street and moving toward a bus stop, after which his whereabouts became unknown.
The last time Kim was captured on CCTV was at 5:22 PM, and the police explained that no further sightings have been discovered since then.
Records show that Kim recharged his bus card after school, but there is no evidence that he boarded a bus, and it is known that he was not carrying a cellphone.
On the internet and social media, Kim’s disappearance has been shared along with his name and photo. Kim is approximately 180 cm tall and was wearing gray pants, the Seohyeon High School uniform, and white Nike sneakers. If he changed into his school gym clothes, he might be wearing a navy Seohyeon High School tracksuit.

Although no criminal suspicion has been identified so far, we are keeping all possibilities open beyond a simple runaway and will continue the search."
