On the 25th, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education reported that after the first student was confirmed positive on the 22nd at an elementary school in Yeongdeungpo-gu, five more students tested positive. The school switched to remote classes until the 28th.
At a high school in Seongbuk-gu, where a group infection occurred among the sports team, one more confirmed case was added, bringing the total to six. The school will conduct remote classes on the 28th and 29th.
At this school, on the 20th, five sports team students tested positive during a pre-competition screening.
The additional confirmed case initially tested negative but showed suspicious symptoms during the quarantine period and tested positive in a second test on the 23rd.
