Suncheon-si Exceeds Initial Plan by 207% in Temporary Livelihood Support Payments
Payment of 4.4913 Billion Won to 10,303 Households
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Heo Seok) announced on the 25th that it has selected a total of 10,303 households for the "Temporary Livelihood Support Project" under the 4th customized damage countermeasures in response to COVID-19 infection and will provide 4.3913 billion KRW.
Among the 13,353 households that applied for the temporary livelihood support fund, the eligibility rate reached 78%.
After reviewing 7,769 households without income proof on the 21st, the city will pay 500,000 KRW to these households on the 25th, and 2,534 households of farmers, foresters, and fishermen will receive 200,000 KRW each in two installments on the 28th.
The city evaluated that the reason it was able to provide temporary livelihood support funds to more than 10,000 households, exceeding the initial budget by 207%, and secure the largest national budget in Jeollanam-do was due to active promotion through local media and SNS, sending 18,000 individual text messages to households, village broadcasting, and active collaboration with eup, myeon, and dong offices.
