According to the county on the 25th, Hampyeong County's representative brand for agricultural and specialty products, ‘Hampyeong Cheonji,’ sold nationwide through shopping malls such as Namdo Market and the Post Office Shopping Mall, recorded sales of 3 billion KRW, achieving 165% compared to the previous year.
In particular, they have achieved results by promoting online and offline direct transaction activation policies such as ▲support projects for expanding agricultural product sales channels through home shopping ▲establishment of the Hampyeong Cheonji shopping mall ▲opening of a direct transaction market at Dolmeori Beach ▲and on-site marketing in the metropolitan area.
Also, a special exhibition held over two weeks last month in collaboration with the Shinsegae shopping portal (SSG.COM) achieved sales of 150 million KRW and promotional effects.
They also planned direct sales events to revitalize the stagnant direct transaction sales.
On the 24th, the county, in cooperation with producing farms, held a local direct delivery discount sales event targeting employees of Bupyeong District Office in Incheon Metropolitan City, a sister city, generating sales of over 10 million KRW.
Since concerns about direct transactions remain due to COVID-19, most transactions were conducted safely through prior promotion and pre-orders.
The county plans to focus on expanding sales channels and operating direct transaction markets at the Korea National Chrysanthemum Festival in the second half of the year, Jogyesa Temple, and the hometown association, as the metropolitan area direct transaction market serves not only to secure sales channels for farms but also to promote local agricultural specialty products.
Additionally, to secure stable online sales channels for small and medium-sized farms, the Hampyeong County agricultural specialty product shopping mall ‘Hampyeong Cheonji Mall,’ currently under development, will hold COVID-19 overcoming events aligned with its opening to attract customers.
