Business Agreement on Carbon Neutral Management Transition for SMEs and Ventures on the 25th
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) is joining forces with the Korea Energy Technology Research Institute (President Kim Jong-nam, hereinafter referred to as KETRI) to support the transition of small and medium-sized ventures to carbon-neutral management through SME-type energy efficiency innovation.
On the 25th, SBC announced that it signed a "SME-type Energy Efficiency Innovation Business Agreement for Achieving 2050 Carbon Neutrality" with KETRI. This agreement was established to respond to climate change by shifting the energy system to a low-carbon focus and to contribute to the government's carbon neutrality policy. Through this agreement, both organizations will cooperate on ▲ energy efficiency and policy planning and infrastructure support for small and medium ventures ▲ support for green technology development and commercialization ▲ fostering green unicorn companies ▲ support for global market expansion ▲ awareness improvement and professional workforce training.
SBC plans to expand support from green technology and product development to commercialization stages by utilizing various policy support tools such as policy funds, workforce training, and technical assistance, and to spread carbon-neutral management through awareness improvement. Additionally, it will lead the transition to low-carbon management for manufacturing companies by developing a carbon neutrality level diagnosis model.
KETRI will strengthen support for the development of core low-carbon and eco-friendly technologies. It will also work on creating a global new energy industry through customized technology transfer and expanded dissemination. Furthermore, through the Energy Doctor project, it will comprehensively support technology guidance and resolution of technical difficulties by matching companies and research institutes one-on-one.
