On the 24th, the People Power Party conducted pressure interviews with 150 first-round successful candidates and selected 16 finalists. Party leader Lee Jun-seok, who promised to select the spokesperson through a debate battle, personally conducted the pressure interviews.
Former full-time deputy spokesperson Hwang Gyu-hwan, Jeon Seong-ha who ran as the Busan mayoral candidate in the April 7 by-election, Yang Jun-woo who rode on Oh Se-hoon's campaign vehicle, and the youngest challenger, high school senior Kim Min-gyu (18), also advanced to the finals.
Other successful candidates who made it to the round of 16 include Min Seong-hoon, Baek Ji-won, Shin In-gyu, Shin Hyun-joo, Yang Gi-yeol, Yoon Hee-jin, Lim Seung-ho, Jung Ji-won, Choi In-ho, and Hwang In-chan.
The oldest challenger, Min Gye-sik (79), former CEO of Hyundai Heavy Industries, and actor Yoo Dong-hyuk were eliminated.

The round of 16 contestants will compete in a debate on the 27th. Afterwards, the quarterfinals will be held on the 30th, and the final on the 5th of next month. The top two scorers will be selected as spokespersons, and the next two highest scorers will be appointed as full-time deputy spokespersons.
