Representative Yang Hyang-ja Submits 'Complaint' to Police Over Sexual Crime Allegations Against Local Office Staff
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Yang Hyang-ja, a member of the National Assembly (Democratic Party of Korea·Gwangju Seo-gu Eul), who is embroiled in allegations of sexual crimes among regional office staff, has submitted a complaint requesting a police investigation.
According to Yang's office on the 24th, Yang submitted a complaint to the Gwangju Western Police Station in the morning, asking for a thorough investigation of Mr. A, who is suspected of sexual crimes.
Mr. A is the person accused of sexually harassing female employee Ms. B, who works at the Gwangju regional office, for several months after Yang was elected.
After recently being informed of these facts, Yang proactively excluded the regional office personnel involved from their duties and immediately reported the matter to the central party.
