SK Broadband Holds Launch Ceremony for '2021 Blossom Youth Video Festival'
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] SK Broadband announced on the 24th that it held the launch ceremony of the ‘2021 Blossom Youth Video Festival’ to promote youth happiness at the EBS Ilsan building, in collaboration with EBS, Yonsei University, and the Korea Youth Policy Institute.
Now in its 4th year, the Blossom Youth Video Festival is SK Broadband’s social value creation project that helps young people directly explore concerns and solutions regarding social issues such as school violence, generational conflicts, and environmental protection. With a total prize pool of 40 million KRW, this year’s festival accepts entries in two categories across 34 divisions: the ‘Themed Video Contest,’ which features videos on specific topics like ‘School Violence Prevention’ and ‘Stories Youth Want to Tell the Older Generation,’ and the ‘Youth Voice Contest,’ where participants freely express their own voices on any topic.
The organizers perform their roles by leveraging their respective areas of expertise. SK Broadband is responsible for active promotion and project support using its own media channels such as ‘B tv’ and ‘B tv Cable.’ EBS manages the video contest operations and promotional activities. Yonsei University involves university students as mentors to assist in producing empathetic videos related to youth, while the Korea Youth Policy Institute provides policy proposals on ‘youth happiness.’ Additionally, specialized related institutions such as the Korean National Police University, the Korean Bar Association, and the Korea Youth Activity Promotion Agency also participate, enhancing the festival’s professionalism by offering policy and legal advice to young participants.
