This event was organized to activate the child and youth public-private-academic network by gathering related practitioners to discuss support policies and major issues and share information.
The event was held online using a video conferencing program, with about 80 participants including practitioners and teachers from child and youth-related organizations.
First, the participants were divided into 11 groups to discuss major issues related to children and youth such as child abuse, school dropout, career paths, mental health and counseling, as well as youth play, cultural activities, and educational gaps highlighted by COVID-19.
Then, the groups shared their discussion results with each other and spent time considering ways to connect resources and services held by each related organization.
Based on the discussion results, the district plans to continuously activate public-private-academic exchanges, build a regional network, and strive to create a child-friendly city where children and youth are happy.
Mayor Kim Seon-gap said, “I would like to thank each organization playing various roles in different fields for children and youth who will lead the future,” and added, “We aim to activate the public-private-academic network centered on Gwangjin-gu and create a Gwangjin where children dream and are happy, so we ask for your interest and participation.”
