The city had been operating seven public parking lots free of charge for 1 year and 3 months since March 12 of last year to revitalize the local economy, which had been depressed due to the spread of COVID-19.
However, contrary to the original purpose of revitalizing the local economy, the number of selfish users who engage in long-term parking increased, leading to privatization by certain individuals and a decrease in turnover rate, which intensified complaints from parking lot users. Therefore, it was decided to operate free of charge only until June 30.
