View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The 84th regular meeting of the Gyeongnam Mayors and County Governors Council was held on the 21st at 2 p.m. in the large auditorium on the 2nd floor of Daebong Recreation Valley Hall, Daebong Recreation Valley, Hamyang.
The regular meeting was attended by 14 mayors and county governors in the province, including Seo Chunsu, Hamyang County Governor, and Heo Seong-gon, Gimhae Mayor (Council Chairman).
The meeting proceeded in the order of Governor Seo’s welcoming remarks, Chairman Heo Seong-gon’s opening address, operation progress report, discussion of requests by city and county, delivery of cooperation and promotional matters, and announcements. Six proposals, including the request for the Lee Kun-hee Art Museum, were approved and decided to be submitted to central government agencies.
Governor Seo said, “I am pleased to host the mayors and county governors of Gyeongnam here in Hamyang,” and added, “I hope this meeting will be a time to gather wisdom through communication and empathy among cities and counties.” He also promoted the Hamyang Wild Ginseng Expo and requested active participation and support.
Chairman Heo said, “I express my gratitude to the mayors and county governors who are working hard to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and I will actively strive for mutual growth through cooperation among local governments to solve common problems faced by each city and county.”

After the meeting, participants rode the monorail within Daebongsan Recreation Valley to the summit of Daebongsan Mountain to pray for the successful hosting of the Expo and the well-being of each city and county.
