The event, operated by the Yeongam-gun Youth Training Center, was notably different from previous years as it was conducted in a blended format that minimized contact among unspecified large numbers of participants while maintaining the concept and operation method of face-to-face activities as much as possible, including performance stages and experiential activities.
At this event, regular meetings to revitalize the youth gathering, team building, and enjoying the sweet performances of indie bands were held first. In particular, in celebration of June as the Month of National Defense and Veterans, participants spent meaningful time learning about the noble spirit of sacrifice through hands-on experience making "Mugunghwa diffusers."
Meanwhile, youths who could not attend the event watched the indie band performances live in real-time on the Facebook channel "Yeongam-gun Youth Training Center," sharing in the excitement.
Tak Eun-gyu (Yeongam High School, Grade 1), president of the Youth Club Federation, said, "It was a bit disappointing not to be able to be noisy and together like before, but I had a lot of fun," adding, "We will work hard to prepare the next gathering with diverse experiential activities and youth performances so that everyone can enjoy it."
A Yeongam-gun official said, "We will invite everyone to a more enjoyable festival site by preparing a gathering program that reflects diversity with each youth creating it themselves and expressing their own colors through more diverse compositions and planning after COVID-19."
