[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 21st, the Hapcheon County Council in Gyeongnam Province lent a hand to onion farmers struggling with labor shortages due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) during the harvest season.
The onion field of about 1,000 pyeong in Gopum-ri, Yongju-myeon, which they visited, had already passed the harvest period due to frequent rain. About 20 county council members and council office staff worked hard to help with the harvest by cutting onion stems and removing plastic sheets.
