Jangseong-gun Conducts 'Job Training' for Career-Interrupted Women
[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Yoo Doo-seok) announced on the 21st that it will provide job training for career-interrupted women through the Jangseong Women’s New Work Center (hereinafter Saeil Center) and the Hope Job Center.
The Saeil Center is promoting a ‘group counseling program’ where participants can receive basic education such as resume and self-introduction writing skills and personal tendency analysis counseling, and is also conducting vocational training composed of five courses.
So far, 143 people have participated in the group counseling program, and through vocational training, 17 childcare service experts and 18 marketing clerks have been produced.
Currently, the Silver Cognitive Play Instructor training course and the Caregiver training course are underway, and from August, a Welfare Gardening Instructor training course is also planned to start.
The county operates a ‘post-management program’ to support graduates in adapting stably to their workplaces after employment.
At the Hope Job Center, ‘New Middle-aged and Senior Reemployment Preparation Education’ is operated quarterly (four times a year), focusing on practical education necessary for the employment process, from resume writing to interview skills.
Also, after completion, 1:1 linkage with companies is supported according to hiring trends to increase employment success rates. A total of 26 people completed the program during the second quarter.

Governor Yoo Doo-seok said, “Due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, employment has become more difficult for women and middle-aged and senior groups,” adding, “We will continuously promote job training and support reflecting local conditions and establish a systematic job-seeking and recruitment system.”
