Jeju City to Fully Close Tapdong Square and Theme Street Starting from the 30th

According to the city on the 21st, this measure is to prevent the spread of local COVID-19 infections, and Tapdong Square and Theme Street will be temporarily and fully closed starting from the 30th.
Until now, despite social distancing measures for COVID-19 at Tapdong Square, there have been frequent cases where citizens and tourists did not follow quarantine rules, such as eating food and drinking alcohol.
Accordingly, the city closed exercise facilities within Tapdong Square, conducted intensive guidance activities at night, and installed about 600 meters of separation facilities to prevent drinking and eating.
Also, streetlights in Tapdong Square are completely turned off after 10 p.m. to prevent citizens and tourists from gathering.
There have been continuous violations of quarantine rules at Tapdong Square and Theme Street, including many users drinking and eating.
The city will install entry prevention facilities 1.5 meters high and 1.38 kilometers long, and temporarily close Tapdong Square and Theme Street from the 30th until the risk of local COVID-19 infection is resolved.
