View original image[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The government has appointed Nam Tae-heon, former Food Industry Policy Officer at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, as the 31st Vice Administrator of the Korea Forest Service.
Vice Administrator Nam passed the 37th Administrative Examination and served in the Ministry of Agriculture for 25 years, holding positions such as spokesperson, Creative Agro-Food Policy Officer, Director of the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service, Head of the Incheon Airport Regional Office of the Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency, and Food Industry Policy Officer.
Recently, he also worked as the Senior Specialist for Agriculture, Livestock, and Food at the Policy Committee of the Democratic Party of Korea in the National Assembly.

Vice Administrator Nam stated, “Based on my public service experience, I will strive to quickly integrate with the staff and within the organization,” and added, “I will do my best to ensure that forest policies resonate with the public and align with the perspectives of forestry workers,” expressing his inauguration remarks.
