Samsung Electronics Launches Four New Odyssey Gaming Monitor Models
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Samsung Electronics will launch four new 2021 gaming monitor models under the 'Odyssey' series in major markets worldwide, including South Korea, on the 21st.
The Odyssey G70A (28-inch) features a futuristic design and is the first in the Odyssey lineup to offer a UHD (3840x2160) resolution with a flat wide-viewing-angle panel. It also delivers an ultra-fast 1ms response time based on GTG (Gray-to-Gray) measurement and a high 144Hz refresh rate, providing gamers with an optimal gaming environment free from afterimages and screen tearing while enjoying UHD-quality game visuals.
Supporting a peak brightness of 400 nits, the monitor incorporates HDR technology, recognized as the next-generation video standard, which renders dark areas darker and bright areas brighter on the screen, creating a vivid gaming experience. The Odyssey G70A supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible, reducing screen tearing caused by communication issues between the PC and monitor during high-spec gaming.
Additionally, it is equipped with numerous new gaming features such as ▲ HDMI 2.1 ▲ CoreSync, which automatically recognizes screen colors and synchronizes lighting colors on the front and back of the product ▲ Ultra-wide game view with a 21:9 aspect ratio allowing flexible screen adjustment ▲ Auto Source Switch Plus, which automatically detects and turns on the screen when connected consoles or other IT devices are powered on.
