Kim Dong-gil's 'Mobile Phone Remaining Data Donation Project' Selected for Grand Prize
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Kim Soo-young) held the judging committee for the '2nd Smart City Idea Contest' on the 17th and selected the 'Mobile Phone Remaining Data Donation Project' as the grand prize winner.
The Smart City Idea Contest was promoted to diagnose various urban problems by residents, discover and propose ideas for solutions, and utilize them in actual district administration. A total of 43 ideas were submitted during the one-month period from May 4 to June 5.
The district held a judging committee to evaluate demonstration development, business feasibility, and suitability for the 12 ideas that passed the first screening, selecting one grand prize winner, two excellence award winners, and three encouragement award winners.
The grand prize winner, Mr. Kim Dong-gil's 'Mobile Phone Remaining Data Donation Project,' involves donating unused remaining data, which automatically expires every month, to data-vulnerable groups. The district plans to review various ways to promote a demonstration project to realize this.
Additionally, the 'Card Reader Model Proposal Using UV Sterilizer' to reduce concerns about COVID-19 infection when using the subway and the 'Eco Deco Project,' which uses photocatalytic paint with fine dust removal effects on roadside pavement blocks or residential complex exterior walls to reduce fine dust, were selected for the excellence awards.
Notably, a mother raising a child with developmental disabilities attracted attention by submitting the idea 'Easily Boarding and Alighting the Bus,' which indicates the driving direction and arrival station on the bus route map inside the bus to resolve inconveniences her child experiences when using public transportation alone.
The district plans to actively utilize the ideas selected through the Smart City Idea Contest, review and promote implementation plans through resident living labs, and provide various smart services to residents.
