According to the police on the 19th, the Suseo Police Station in Seoul has booked and is investigating Mr. A on charges including making sexually humiliating remarks to women on the street.
Earlier, posts claiming to have been sexually harassed by Mr. A began appearing on social networking services (SNS) such as Facebook from the beginning of this month. The posts described a man who approached by asking the name of an apartment on the street and then followed while making sexual remarks. Most victims encountered Mr. A in similar areas and claimed to have been sexually harassed using the same method. A middle school student, Ms. B, testified, "I met Mr. A near the Daechi-dong subway station in Gangnam-gu. After receiving reports of the incidents, the police increased patrols in the nearby area and eventually caught Mr. A after tracking him down. A police official stated, "Since this is an ongoing investigation, we cannot disclose specific details."

Mr. A is expected to be charged with violating the Minor Offenses Act. In November last year, Mr. B (44), who chased unknown women near Seoul National University Station while making obscene remarks, was also prosecuted for causing anxiety under the Minor Offenses Act and was fined 100,000 won in the first trial. At that time, he pretended to be on a phone call while making obscene remarks or swearing at women on the street, earning the nickname 'Call Man' and causing fear among nearby women.
