Mayor Heo Seong-mu Celebrates Opening of New Changwon Employment and Labor Office Building
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] On the 17th, Changwon Mayor Heo Seong-mu attended the opening ceremony of the new Changwon branch office of the Ministry of Employment and Labor and celebrated together with key institution heads including Park Hwa-jin, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, Park Jong-won, Deputy Governor of Gyeongnam Province, as well as labor and management representatives.
The Changwon Employment and Labor Office relocated to a newly constructed building with one basement floor and three above-ground floors after one year of construction, as the previous office building had become dilapidated after 28 years since its construction.
In his congratulatory speech, Mayor Heo said, "As we start anew in the comfortable environment of the new office, I hope it will develop into an employment and labor institution that is more loved by citizens through improved administrative services." He added, "We will support and cooperate in attracting companies, creating jobs, and improving labor conditions in line with the policy directions of the city and provincial governments."

Meanwhile, at an earlier meeting with Vice Minister Park Hwa-jin, Mayor Heo suggested, "Until now, COVID-19 vaccinations have mainly focused on the elderly, but from the second half of the year, they are expected to expand throughout society.
