View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) will carry out sewer pipe improvement construction from this month until December next year to prevent flooding and road collapse in the Sinchon area.
The section is 158m long, extending from in front of Changcheon Culture Park along Yonsei-ro 5-gil to Sinchon-ro, and the construction will be divided into the first phase (78m) this year and the second phase (80m) next year.
The district will replace two old sewer pipes (rectangular sewer boxes) buried here, each 2.5m wide and 2.5m high, with new pipes expanded to 2.7m wide and 2.5m high, respectively.
The construction is planned to be carried out from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next day, according to the Seoul City traffic flow control review results.
The district will deploy traffic control personnel and construction guide signs to minimize inconvenience to citizens.

A district official requested, "Although the construction will be carried out at night, since there may be traffic congestion around the area, please detour or drive slowly when passing through."
