[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] KT announced on the 17th that the ‘Digital-X Summit 2021’ held online on the 16th was successfully concluded.
At this year’s Digital-X Summit 2021, KT introduced B2B customers’ digital transformation (DX) cases and discussed DX strategies by sector. Following the Digital-X Summit 2020, which was held both online and offline last year alongside the launch of the ‘KT Enterprise’ brand, this year’s conference held online saw more than three times the number of registrants compared to the previous year, showing great interest in KT Enterprise’s transformation into a digital platform company (DIGICO).
In his welcoming speech, KT CEO Koo Hyun-mo emphasized, “With the digital transformation just beginning, we hope to find growth opportunities together with KT in the B2B market, where even greater changes will occur.” Shin Soo-jung, Vice President and Head of KT Enterprise Division, announced 14 core DX areas based on KT’s experience and capabilities, introducing various DX cases in transportation, call centers, hotels, and more. As recommendations for successful DX adoption, she suggested partnerships with companies possessing digital capabilities and flexible organizations and cultures.
The following sessions featured KT’s DX experts presenting on financial, contact center, telecommunications, transportation, and safety DX among the 14 core DX areas, followed by discussions with experts from each field. In particular, in telecommunications DX, interviews were conducted with Lee Jae-jun, Mayor of Goyang, and Seo Dae-seok, Mayor of Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, about the ‘Call Check-in’ service and AI speaker-based care service introduced to support citizens struggling due to COVID-19. These cases of DX innovation through telecommunications services in the public sector attracted significant attention from participants.
