Jeju Fire Station Conducts Public-Private Joint 'Ship Fire Response Drill'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters (Jeju) Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] Jeju Fire Station (Chief Kim Youngho) announced that on the 16th, it conducted a public-private joint "Docked Vessel Fire Response Drill" at Jeju Port, Geonip-dong, to strengthen the response capability to ship fires.
This drill was conducted as a public-private joint exercise to establish a rapid response system for similar fires, following the recent frequent occurrence of fire accidents on docked vessels.
The drill was conducted assuming a fire caused by electrical factors on a fishing vessel docked at Jeju Port.
