2021 Gyeongnam Goseong Dinosaur World Expo, Schedule Shortened and Changed to 38 Days from October 1
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] The 2021 Gyeongnam Goseong Dinosaur World Expo will be held for 38 days starting from October 1.
The Gyeongnam Goseong Dinosaur World Expo Organizing Committee announced on the 16th that they have finally decided to shorten and change the expo period, which was originally scheduled to run for 52 days from September 17, to 38 days starting from October 1.
County Governor Baek Doo-hyun said, “The Dinosaur Expo is a festival representing the Republic of Korea, and various plans regarding its hosting were reviewed and discussed, while gathering opinions from the residents.”
He continued, “In this process, the majority of residents agreed with holding the expo but preferred to shorten the duration. Considering the government’s quarantine policies and the pace of vaccination, we judged that it is sufficiently possible to hold the expo,” explaining the reason for the decision.
Governor Baek emphasized, “Although the period has been shortened, we will prepare more thoroughly with immersive video content such as outdoor augmented reality (AR) to meet visitors’ expectations, and we will do our best to ensure that residents can feel the economic effects by linking the tourism resources that Goseong has.”
He also said, “We will do our utmost to prevent COVID-19 and ensure a successful expo.”
Meanwhile, the organizing committee extended the ticket reservation period until August 31, and tickets already purchased can be used during the changed period.
