On the 16th, Gyeongnam Arts High School Principal Jeong Jong-hwan, Student Council President Jeong Da-hee, and Vice President Lee Min-joo met with Jinju Mayor Cho Gyu-il and Chairman Kwon Soon-gi of the Lee Kun-hee Art Museum Jinju Attraction Committee to deliver 2,000 paper cranes representing the wishes of about 280 students, asking them to convey these to President Moon Jae-in and Minister Hwang Hee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Principal Jeong said, “Attracting the Lee Kun-hee Art Museum to Jinju is the heartfelt wish not only of our students but also of 360,000 Jinju citizens and 3.33 million residents of Gyeongnam Province,” and added, “It must be located in Jinju to realize cultural democracy through cultural decentralization.”
Additionally, Chairman Kwon stated, “The paper cranes and postcards, filled with the sincere hearts and precious devotion of students busy with their studies, which cannot be measured in monetary terms, will be carefully delivered to the President and the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.”
