[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) will hold the summer horror special online talk show ‘Friday Ghost Story Meeting’.
On the 16th, Guro-gu announced, “To provide residents tired from COVID-19 with a unique cultural experience opportunity, we are preparing the online talk show ‘Friday Ghost Story Meeting.’”
Friday Ghost Story Meeting is an online talk show under the theme ‘Preview of the Summer Horror Special,’ introducing genre literature such as mystery, thriller, and horror, which have recently gained public interest and grown, and reflecting on their temporal and historical significance.
In this talk show, genre literature authors Jeong Myeongseop and Kim Seonmin will appear to discuss the history and meaning of mystery novels and the zombie and creature (monster) genres.
They will explain and analyze familiar mystery novels such as ‘Sherlock Holmes’ and ‘Ars?ne Lupin,’ as well as horror movies and dramas like ‘The Curse of Dawn,’ ‘The Walking Dead,’ and ‘Warm Bodies.’
Occasionally, supporting actors dressed as ghosts will make surprise appearances to add chills.
The event will be broadcast live on YouTube for two hours starting at 8 p.m. on the 18th. Those who wish to watch can access the ‘Guro G Festival’ YouTube channel. Viewing is recommended for ages 15 and older.
A gift event will also be held for participants who comment in real time. Among the participants, 10 will be selected to receive books personally gifted by the appearing authors.
