Gyeongnam Province Selects 11 Institutions for Innovative Product Pilot Purchase Project
Public Institutions Achieve Budget Savings, Small Businesses Explore New Markets
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 15th that 11 institutions in Gyeongnam province were selected for the Public Procurement Service's contest project '2021 1st Innovative Product Pilot Purchase Project' and secured 1.26 billion KRW.
The 'Innovative Product Pilot Purchase Project' is a project that purchases and pilots innovative products developed through patents or technology development owned by small and medium-sized enterprises.
It becomes the initial purchaser of innovative products before commercialization, uses them, and publicly shares the results to expand purchases.
The 11 institutions including Gyeongsangnam-do selected for this Public Procurement Service contest project secured 1.26 billion KRW in national funds. They will purchase 10 innovative products such as video surveillance systems, traffic video monitoring devices, automatic license plate extraction CCTV cameras, and LED light ropes.
Upon completion of the innovative product pilot purchase project, the products will be transferred from the Public Procurement Service, allowing institutions to reduce their budgets.
It is expected to pioneer initial sales channels for innovative product manufacturing companies through certification based on public institution usage results.
The total number of products registered as public procurement innovative products by companies in Gyeongnam province is 16.
