View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, is providing a one-on-one "customized case management service" to minimize care gaps for dementia patients caused by the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and to improve cognitive abilities.
The customized case management project targets dementia patients registered at the Dementia Safety Center who are in care blind spots or have complex problems due to dementia. The Dementia Case Management Committee selects the subjects considering the current situational characteristics of the elderly with dementia and implements the service.
Once selected, the patients receive non-face-to-face check-ins via phone calls and can access Dementia Safety Center services such as protective supplies, support for dementia treatment management costs, and dementia-related counseling.
Additionally, if urgent intervention is deemed necessary, home visits are conducted to find and connect community resources to provide assistance, along with necessary supplies.
