Changwon City Hosts Public Performance of Gwangryeosan Sut Ilsori, Gyeongsangnam-do Intangible Cultural Property
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] On the 14th, Changwon City in Gyeongnam held a public performance of Gwangryeosan Sutilsori transmission for local residents at the Gwangryeosan Sutilsori Transmission Center.
Gwangryeosan Sutilsori is a common labor song expressing the hardships during the charcoal production process and was designated as Gyeongsangnam-do Intangible Cultural Property No. 43 in 2017.
The Gwangryeosan Sutilsori Preservation Society, led by sound holder Jeong Chaenam, is taking the lead in inheriting and developing traditional cultural heritage.
The public event held that day featured performances of pungmulnori by preservation members, pansori, and jeongja sori (rice planting labor song).

The performance showcased six scenes of Gwangryeosan Sutilsori, including the charcoal kiln site purification, site pounding mangkkaesori, eosanyeong sori, and mokdo sori, which illustrate the charcoal production process.
