Relieving Cultural Thirst and Expanding Enjoyment Opportunities for Residents on the Outskirts of the City
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Changwon City, Gyeongnam, held a Culture Day event on the 13th at Seoksan Village, Dong-eup, Uichang-gu, with the participation of about 50 residents.
The Culture Day program "Village Pavilion Scenery, Visiting Cultural Troupe" was selected by Changwon City as a national project under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's Culture Day public contest, and the event has been ongoing since May.
On this day, Dobong Seowon, which honors Dongsan Gong (東山公) Kim Myeongyun (金明胤), who made achievements during the Imjin War, was transformed into a cultural space where a memorial rite was held.
There were professional performances involving local artists (folk songs, classical music, art songs), used clothes recycling, our village art exhibition, and Ibaku Masil (storytelling gathering).
