Lee Jun-seok "The Bold Moves We Make Starting Today Are the New Standard in Yeouido"
"Addressing Issues Overlooked by Mainstream Politics"
[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, expressed his intention to continue 'boldness' at the first Supreme Council meeting on the 14th.
At the Supreme Council meeting, Lee said, "The boldness we practice from today should become the new standard of Yeouido beyond just being new," adding, "It should be a vessel where diverse ideas can coexist, and rather than fear of change, the expectation for newness should become our language."
He introduced, "There are eight Ddareungi bicycle storage facilities within the National Assembly premises," and said, "Despite being one of the areas with the highest density of Ddareungi in Seoul, I did not expect my riding a Ddareungi to become such a big issue." He continued, "During rush hours, the eight rental stations inside the National Assembly often lack enough Ddareungi due to high usage by aides and National Assembly staff, and paradoxically, it is surprising that a single politician riding one is receiving attention for the first time."
Lee promised, "Without a profound understanding of last-mile transportation means such as shared bicycles and kickboards, or personal mobility, it is difficult for us to create laws regulating these and foster new industries," adding, "Although these topics are already familiar to the younger generation, they have been neglected by mainstream politicians, so I will actively take the lead in addressing them."

He also shared his reflections on visiting Daejeon National Cemetery and the Gwangju Hakdong victim memorial altar earlier in the morning before the Supreme Council meeting. Lee said, "My first step today at Daejeon National Cemetery signifies that our conservative camp is moving beyond vague confidence in security to honor each and every person who sacrificed for the country, not only those widely known like former presidents but also young warriors around my age who could not blossom at about 20 years old and sacrificed for the nation." Regarding the visit to the Gwangju Hakdong 4 District victim memorial altar, he urged, "The police must conduct a strict investigation to ensure there is no cause for regret in the hearts of the bereaved families, including whether the accident might have originated from collusion with local political circles as suggested by civic groups."
