Yangsan City Initiates Development of a Unique 'Food Plan' for Yangsan Bay

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Yangsan City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 14th that it will establish a food system called the ‘Yangsan City Food Plan’ to guarantee healthy and safe food for citizens and revitalize the local economy.
The city plans to comprehensively analyze the local food situation using the 100 million KRW project fund secured through the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs’ ‘Regional Food Plan Establishment Support Project’ and build an integrated food system unique to Yangsan City.
To this end, on the 9th, Mayor Kim Il-gwon, city officials, Yangsan Office of Education, Nonghyup, producers, distributors, and related institutions gathered to hold a kickoff meeting for the food plan establishment project.
At the meeting, there was an explanation of the food plan concept, plans for investigating the food situation by sector within the region, schedules for task execution, plans for establishing and operating a public-private participation governance, formulation of comprehensive plans and strategic execution plans, and plans for building an integrated food support center, providing time for consensus building and collecting opinions from attendees.
