Up to 1 Million KRW Support per Company for Small and Medium Enterprises
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 11th that it will implement the '2021 Small and Medium Enterprise Export Insurance Premium Support Project' to create stable export conditions for local small and medium enterprises and promote export activation.
The Small and Medium Enterprise Export Insurance Premium Support Project is a program that supports insurance premiums to protect companies from various risks that may occur in overseas export transactions and to guarantee stable export activities of export companies. It is promoted through a business agreement with the Gyeongnam branch of the Korea Trade Insurance Corporation.
The project accepts applications through the Gyeongnam branch of the Korea Trade Insurance Corporation for small and medium enterprises with headquarters or branches (factories) in Jinju City, and after screening, supports export insurance premiums until the project budget is exhausted. The support amount is up to 1 million KRW per company.
Applications for individual export insurance can be submitted from the 14th, and group export insurance applications are planned to be accepted in the second half of the year.
A city official said, “In the unstable trade environment caused by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), support for export insurance premiums is expected to serve as a strong pillar for export companies to focus steadily on exports. We hope for active interest and participation from companies.”
