[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam, is promoting the '2021 Hamyang-gun University Students and Leave-of-absence Students Summer Vacation Job Project,' which provides university students the opportunity to stay in their hometown during the summer vacation, gain work experience, and earn money for tuition.
The recruitment number is 22, and the selected students will be assigned to the town and township offices within the county, where they will assist in public tasks such as COVID-19 prevention and quarantine support and administrative support for one month starting from July 1, gaining experience working in public institutions.
The working hours are 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, and they will receive the 2021 minimum wage of 8,720 KRW per hour.
Applications can be submitted in person at the town or township office of the applicant's registered residence from the 14th to the 18th. Any university student currently enrolled or on leave of absence registered in the county can apply, but graduate students, university students with jobs, and children of public officials are excluded.
Earlier this year, the county planned to hire 11 people for one month through the winter vacation job project, but considering the high demand from university students, the entire initial budget was used to double the project scale, hiring 22 people for one month in February to carry out the project.
Additionally, an extra supplementary budget has been secured for the summer vacation job project.
