Gwangju Seo-gu Operates Sharing Culture 'I-eum Nanumteo'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Dae-seok) announced on the 11th that the Seoro 西路 Ieum Social Value Support Center will operate the ‘Ieum Nanumteo’ to spread the culture of sharing in the public sector and reduce the use of disposable products.
Seo-gu currently operates three item-sharing centers (Hwajeong 2-dong, Dongcheon-dong, Seoro 西路 Ieum Social Value Support Center) to promote sharing.
These sharing centers are equipped with various shared items such as camping, leisure, tools, event equipment, and children’s products, providing convenience through sharing services by lending them to residents in need.
‘Ieum Nanumteo’ is a place where reusable items needed for meetings or training of each department of Seo-gu Office are stocked and shared among departments for commonly needed items. It was established to lead the reduction of disposable product use in public institutions and to save budgets that are repeatedly spent.
It is also equipped with items such as reusable cups and plates of various designs, water bottles, name tags, pen trays, and easels.
Departments that need items for various meetings or events can check the rental schedule in advance and share them. The items will be continuously added through periodic demand surveys.
